Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache , Stomach Blaoting And Throat Pain

My son is not running a fever, his head hurts really bad (no known head injuries) he feels sick at his stomach but has not thrown up. He says his throat hurts also, he is saying that his outward body temperature is warm and it is warm to the touch but inside he said he is very cold. Is something to worry about? what could it be?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe headache , stomach bloating and throat pain, well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons but it seems to me that these symptoms probably occur due to gastroesophageal reflux disease/ sinusitis or postnasal drip. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles several times a day. Avoid large meals at a time and take small and frequent meals. Avoid sleeping immediately after having food. You should take steam twice a day. Take paracetamol for fever and headache. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis .Doctor may order test like swab test , blood test , and viral culture test to rule out condition like acid reflux and strep throat . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with decongestant. Maintain proper hygiene. Drink plenty of water and liquids. Take tepid sponging if it is severe headache.
