Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache With Pain Behind Eyes
I am 20 years old and have been having severe headaches and pain behind my eyes towards the top of eyelids. I can t watch T.V. read a book or color for more than 15 minutes without having to stop because of the pain. I have been taking painkillers for them but it doesn t really help. I haven t been in any car accident or had any head trauma so I can t find a reason for it. these headaches are like migraines, I am sensitive to light, and sound and after a while I can see black spots, which is when I have to lay down and take a nap. they started about 2 weeks ago.

First get your eyes check for refractive error if associated with tear in eye also in tv watching ....
If it is present suitable glass or contact lenses needed....
Second if headache attacks severe with flashes of light as you have and Intolerance to loud noise and sensation feel that aura before headache then it might be migraine...
If severe enough then rizatriptan like drug might needed....
Avoid precipitating factors for headache like....
-skipped meal
-smoking
-stress
-lack of sleep
-hypoglycemia
-loud noise etc.....
Get your direct ophthalmoscopy examination just to rule out fundus causes....
If you have repeated cold or respi infection like sinusitis then reffered headache can be there....
Although you are young , blood pressure checked....
Keeping these in mind consult doc for detailed history and examination with needed investigation....
