Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache

I suffer with everyday headaches during the spring & summer months, until the temperature gets cooler. During the beginning of Spring, I suffer with pain in my nose. The inside of my nasal passage swells and is no longer the normal color it should be. Next, the pain graduates to the middle of my forehead area and then all over into a migraine. I notice when it rains and or the temperature isn t in the 90 s the pain will subside. When September rolls around, it is like night and day, the pain will disappear until next year. I am 37 and this is the third years this has happened. I ve tried every migraine medicine possible. Only thing that will help is prednisone. What causes the head pain during hot temperatures.

Neurologist 's  Response
Good evening. I am Dr. Saghafi and am a neurologist and headache subspecialist from Cleveland, OHIO. Migraines have the curious property of increasing their intensity by approximately 10-20% intensity for every 7 degrees increase in temperature. Therefore, you are correct migraine headaches, especially their intensities clearly increase in warmer temperature. For this reason many people prefer cold rags and washcloths on their heads during attacks. If you would like specific recommendations including an independently designed HEADACHE DIARY which my patients use for diagnosis and to help guide treatment then, please let me know and I will get one to you which we can use to treat your headaches.

Please write to me and let's set up a personal consult at: bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi

Cheers. If you feel the response I've given you is of value please provide some brief feedback as well as a STAR RATING!
