Im a 63 yr old male an for the past week I have been having headaches that prior to now iv never had.What kind of problems could I be facing an what do I need to do about them? I have been taking Excedrin Migrane asprin but to no avail. Thank you Robert

I would like to know the type of headache ( pressing or throbbing), the location and any other associated symptoms like nausea, fevers, etc. Have you measured your blood pressure?
I think that there are different conditions that can cause a new headache at your age : - uncontrolled high blood pressure - a vascular headache - a temporal arteritis - a sinus infection causing headache.
I would recommend you to consult with a neurologist, have a careful physical examination for neurological signs, monitor your blood pressure, perform a routine blood test for inflammation, a sinus Xray for sinus infection.
A brain CT scan or MRI would be necessary to exclude a possible intracranial lesion.
