Your complaints can be caused by Tensional Headache. It is charachertized by opressing pain, sometimes as a headband, other times in the whole head. It affects pericraneal muscles, and can have photofobia or noise intolerance, nausea (but no vomiting), and can last up a week. Try to get good sleep, do some excercise, eat healthy, be well hydrated, and (if possible) try to handle stressful situations. When I see patients with this kind of pain, I usually start acetaminophen, Ibuprofen or naproxen for the acute pain; also a prophylactic drug as topiramate or propranolol. If you are having trouble sleeping or anxiety, maybe amitryptiline would be a good choice for you. Look for a neurologist to confirm the diagnosis and start the right medication.
If you have any doubt before your appointment, please let me know.
