My 22 year old daughter has had a severe headache for the last 2 days & feels very tired.i have just checked her blood pressure with a lloyds pharmacy machine & it is 89/58.i then checked mine to make sure it s working okay & mine is normal.could this be the cause of her not feeling well?
The symptoms that she is complaining of might indicate a migraine. A migraine is a repetitive type of headache. In some cases, the migraine occurs due to a trigger factor such as the sun or certain types of food. If this is the case, then she might have a migraine.
Also, in some cases, migraines have aura symptoms which can be of low blood pressure. There are a few things that have to be done correctly while measuring blood pressure. You should take it 3 times a day and in sitting, standing and lying down position. And the cuff size(the part that inflates) should be of the right size. A cuff that is too big or is not placed correctly will give wrong readings.
I recommend that you give her one tablet paracetamol 500 mg to see if the headache goes down. If it does not, then you should get her to a Doctor and then get her blood pressure checked. She might need pressors which will increase the blood pressure. Also, inform the Doctor of her complete medical history as this will help. All the best.
Hope this helps you
