Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My daughter is experiencing a pounding headache in the back of her head neck area. This started yesterday afternoon. Last night she took Aleve. This morning around 8 a.m. it was still pounding; I gave her two tylenol. She is 16 yrs. old weighs 123 pounds. As of 1:35 p.m. it is still pounding, she has a fever now of 101.2 and is extremely tired. Also has red circles around her eyes. I had here a few minutes ago put a flexible ice pack on the base of her neck and sit in the recliner slightly reclined. I also have her drinking Coke hoping the caffeine will help. She says when she stands she is dizzy and the pounding is bad. When she lays down she does not have the dizziness and the pounding lets up just a tiny bit. Is this a migraine or should I be worried about something else? She has never experienced this before.
Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-: (As per your history her symptom is due to infection) 1)ALCLOX cap 3 times a day for 7 days 2)ALCOFEN tab two times a day if body temperature goes above 100 degree 3)Tomorrow make a blood DC and Paracheck test to ruled out parasitic infection. I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best. Thanks,
