Suggest Treatment For Severe Headaches And Neck Pain

I always have a head-ache on the left side of my head lower by my neck ...I always have sharp pains like ciggerett burn though my feet and legs and arms and wrists... I have severe pains though my hips and legs and knees. Do I need an MRI like the doctor asks?

Hi,

The abnormal sensation may be related to abnormal function of the nerves in the area, this is called neuropathy.

It has different possible causes but one of the causes is trauma to the nerves of the spine. You may want to consider the MRI to assess for any changes to these nerves.

Other causes include low vitamin B12 or folate levels, diabetes, thyroid disease, liver or kidney disease, exposure to toxins, abnormal B6 levels. In some persons, the cause is not found.
