Suggest Treatment For Severe Hip Pain Caused Due To An Injury

Hi there, I had a nasty fall (plastic stool disintegrated when I was standing on it) on 15th dec. I am 17 stone and fell backwards falling on my left buttock and banging my head on a concrete floor. I had a large lump next to my crown, (I could just cup it in my left hand) and a very sore hip, but since then I have developed a very painful right hip, I am having a struggle to even walk now, and can t sleep at night due to hip pain. I am 71 years old and have arthritis anyway, could falling on my left side cause problems in my right hip. I haven t consulted a doctor by the way, but do have an appointment soon.

hello,
You should immediately get an x-ray done (X-ray pelvis -AP view)and review it with your orthopaedician(bone specialist).
Meanwhile, you can have some analgesics like tablet tramadol twice daily, and a calcium supplementation would be very much helpful at this age.
