Suggest Treatment For Severe Inflammation And Pain In The Ear

Hi, I am german. My daughter (19) is on holidays in Kandy Sri Lanka. She has an inflamation in the ear and it hurts. The doctor gave her beclomin lotion, ciprolet, penral, zerodol and zyncet. Is this all helpful? In germany we have ciprolet in drops for the ear. Can she find this also in sri lanka? Thank you .

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have severe inflammation and pain in the ear which could be due to ear infection. Need not to worry about it. Medications prescribed by doctor are appropriate. Ciprolet ear drops can be found in Srilanka as well under brand mane Ciprofloxacin. I would suggest you to take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin you are not allergic to it along with Ibuprofen and Loratadine. Put Otogesic ear drops 2-3 times a day. Take proper rest. If symptoms keeps on persisting you should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get all the lab tests done for proper examination.
