Suggest Treatment For Severe Insect Bite

I have an insect bite that is blinking red to a lesser form of red (seems to be going along with my pulse). No fever, no hotness to the touch, slight swelling of the bite area but no other red flags (no pun intended). I have never seen this before. Any thoughts? Should I go in to be seen?
