Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchiness All Over The Body

I am itching all over my body mostly at night it wakes me up and mostly my face hair neck eyebrows inside nose. This started a couple days after a walk in the woods this fall. I have tried moisturizing my hair and body but still itch I have been taking antihistimines which help but still itch I do have cats and a dog not sure what to do but I am about to go crazy itching and trying to figure out what it is from and how to stop it thank for any help or suggestions

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe itchiness all over the body . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like dermatitis , eczema , psoriasis , diabetes , allergic reaction and side effects of drug . I would suggest you to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrate , keep yourself away from the allergens like dust , dog and cat fur and continue taking anti histamine like zyrtec or benadryl . If condition doesn't get better the consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , allergy test and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment or antibiotics like clindamycin .
