Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching Around Ankles After Seed Tick Bites

I was hiking yesterday. I used IR3535 repellent on skin and clothes. At home, I found many seed ticks attached around my ankles inside my socks (and one slightly larger just inside the edge)! I removed them, and showered, but today those sites itch like crazy AND I have similar sites popping up where I never saw a bug. If I hadn t seen the ticks, I would swear it was poison ivy of some kind. My question is: what is the best remedy for this intense itching?and is are the new bumps related?

Hello,

Hydrocortisone cream twice a day and tabs desloratidine 5mg twice a day for 3days; the issue is a reaction taking place at your ankle.

You should know that for allergic reactions, the best treatment is avoiding the allergen (the cause of the allergy). Next time you go hiking, please try to be careful.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Buluke Brian
