Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching Between The Toes

I have had intense itching between my little toe & one next to it. skin cracks & peals. now it is between the next 2 toes. also itching on ball of foot below those toes. have had this for a few months. the itching is intense. I have tried anti-itch cream & got some relief. No chance of poison ivy, & not from foods.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

This symptom may be suggestive of the early stage of peripheral neuropathy. Another possibility may be tight footwear.

Is there any diabetes, renal dysfunction, alcohol addiction, drug intake?
Examination by a neurologist may be helpful.
Nerve conduction testing may also be required.
Blood test for blood sugar, thyroid profile, vitamin B 12, folic acid, renal and liver function test should be planned.
If you think it is related to new footwear, then please change it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
