Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching On The Feet While Having Dengue

My daughter is 9 years old and has dengue. The fever has reduced today but she has terrible itching on her feet, not able to sleep because of that. She had 5ml of cetrizine at bedtime, have applied calamine lotion but nothing seems to help. What else can I try? Thanks

Hi,

Kindly check your platelet count, the itching can be due to secondary manifestation of dengue itself or it can also be due to allergy to the drug. Checking must be done. Appropriate treatment should be taken if the platelet count is below normal and fluid management is also necessary.
