Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchy Rashes On The Hairline Of The Neck

I have intense itching only in my hair at the hairline at my neck. The itching comes and goes but now is more frequent. Also, now I have small bumps and a rash that has appeared. The only thing that helps reduce the itching is to use my hair blower on the hottest setting an inch away from my hairline at my neck and about burn my skin. Not itching anywhere else on my body. My hair does not look healthy and is extremely dry and my hair is thinning out at a scary speed. Help!

Understanding your concern. The symptoms you mention in your query are clear cut indication of allergic reaction . It can also occur du to condition like psoriasis or fungal infection . These type of allergic reaction may range from mild rashes to serious condition like anaphylaxis . I would suggest you to Stay in air conditioned room , take plenty of fluid and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl oy zyrtec . These drugs give temporary relief . So book an appointment with dermatologist without any delay . Doctor will take history and evaluate the condition properly and rule out condition like anaphylaxis . Doctor may give adrenaline shot , corticosteroid ointment or anti fungal drug depending upon the diagnosis to treat the condition .
