Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain Despite Taking Codeine

I hit my knee on a table leg earlier and the pain is pretty bad. I m sat with ice on it and I ve taken a codein but it isn t easing much. A lump appeared instantly but there isn t much bruising so I don t think it s broken. I can kind of walk on my tiptoes but on my heals causes a lot of pain. like I said I don t think it s broken so I don t really want to go to a doctor if it s not necessary. Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello,

You probably need a NSAID like Ibuprofen or Diclofenaco. Because severe inflammation and pain can only be relieved by an antiinflammatory drug.
