Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain Post A Meniscus Surgery

Why do I have knee pain while sleeping, 3 months after meniscus surgery. It doesn t hurt during the day, only when i go to bed. The pain comes after about 30 minutes in bed. I get up and move around for a while and the pain subsides but returns shortly after returning to bed.

Hello,

Most of the patients who have run meniscus surgery will experience problems with pain when sleeping that will interrupt night sleeping.

We do recommend to take the pain medicine one hour before going to bed.

Applying analgesic cream locally can help. Do follow the pain management strategy as recommended by your Orthopedic doctor.

If still no improvement, should consult further with your caring orthopedic doctor.
