Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to osteoarthritis. You can get a X ray of knee joint and consultation with an orthopedician to rule out this. Checking vitamin D level in your blood also will be helpful. If vitamin D level is low taking calcium and vitamin D 3 supplements will be helpful also. If in early stages conservative treatment like taking NSAIDs like nimusulide , local capsaicin ointments and ice pack application will be helpful. Quadriceps muscle strengthening exercises also will help.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
