Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Cramps While On Levaquin

Hello & Merry Christmas, I have been taking Levaquin by pill form for 2 weeks now. I have been having severe leg cramps to the degree that I can barely get out of bed to stretch my legs. I didn t see leg cramps as a side effect but is it possible? Thank you, Meg Rathbun Saratoga Springs, NY

Hi,

levaquin can cause tendinitis that is inflamation of tendons and muscles so potentially causing cramps and pains.

If there is no other reason for your cramps, levofloxacin can be a cause and we may try stopping it.
