Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Pain After A Fall

During gym class I fell from about 3 feet in the air and landed on my hip/ lower than my hip. And ever since then the pain has been enormous. I can barely move my left leg without it in pain. I m just wondering if I should be worried and how long does it take to heal.

Hi.

If skeletal injury has been adequately ruled out then the injury should be in the muscles, tendons or ligaments around the site of injury. If at all a skeletal injury is found the doctor may choose immobilization, but if injury is with the muscles or so on then the treatment should be symptomatic. But in either case, we need to find the cause for pain followed by the trauma for which I recommend a visit to an orthopedic specialist.

Best wishes.
