Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Pain During The Night

Hi I have leg pain during the night and cannot get back to sleep because of the pain. It is not a cramp. It starts at the calf on the right side of the leg and goes into the ankle. What can cause this? I have spinal stenosis and arthritis worst in the left knee than the right.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to arthritis. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend using heat compresses for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
