Hello,

A few probable causes of your hip pain are avascular necrosis of femur head, fracture of the hip, neck of femur, hip joint osteoarthritis, hip joint bursitis or synovitis, sciatic nerve compression, lumbar spondylitis, and lumbar disc degenerative disease. Only with thorough clinical examination and few tests like X-ray hip joint, MRI lumbosacral spine, and MRI hip joint one can arrive at a specific diagnosis.

Treatment depends upon the cause of pain. Consult an orthopedic surgeon. Until then can be used. Pain relief can be achieved by NSAIDs like Ibuprofen and Aceclofenac. But owing to your age, I discourage the usage of NSAIDs. You can use opioids like Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Tramadol daily twice. To avoid gastric irritation, tab. Pantop 40 mg can be taken once daily before food.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
