Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain And Fatigue

I was under the impression this was a free service and do not have the finances due to loss of job from current physical situation. Thank you for your time. My symptoms are:. Extreme pain in lower right back and right knee but also down to my feet. Numbness in different areas of right leg mainly, but also in both feet. Swollen right leg and both feet. Edema? Constant itching all over body, but extreme in groin area, armpits, and feet(basically where most areas of sweat) Uncontrollable twitching. Restless nights. Extreme fatigue. After just a short time walking the pain increases tremendously, so as to make it necessary to support myself while still in pain. Only somewhat comfortable position is lying on couch with legs elevated. Constant need to urinate. Diarrhea. Golden/dark yellow urine.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a spine-related problem like a prolapsed disc or nerve compression.
As first-line management you can take drugs like gabapentin for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
In that case you might require an MRI for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
