Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain

my 84 year old father is having pain in the lower back right side of his back. He s taking Aleve, Ibuprofen, heating pad. The pain feels deep - not surface. You can touch it and he s fine. He is VERY healthy - so having him down for the past 3 days is not common for him WHATSOEVER. Is there an organ that is there? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. This sounds like a kidney stone problem and most stones pass on their own in a few days. But he should see a doctor for an exam, urinalysis, and a ct scan of his abdomen to determine if the stone has passed.
