Suggest Treatment For Severe Migraine Headache

I am a 49 year old woman and have about 2-3 migraines a month that last about 15 hours or longer. Is this pre-menopause? I can t do anything but lay in bed with ice packs and close my eyes. I do take 3 advil. Sometimes in the middle of the night the migraine will wake me up and then I know what to expect. I can t even sleep. Are there any natural remedies that I can try to decrease or eliminate?

hi,

thank you for providing the brief history of you.

As this could be related to pre menopause due to hormonal changes happening in the body. I will advice you to do regular exercises, breathing exercises, aerobics and drink alot of fluid.

in my clinical practice most cases with migraine we treat with different approaches depending upon the type of pain and age of the individual. As there are different reasons for each one having a migraine and has to be seen individually.

physical exercise will help improve the body metabolism and physiological corrections. Breathing exercises will help improve oxygen levels in blood to avoid early fatigue and aerobics will help improve the cardio respiratory functioning as well.
