Hello! I ve been experiencing moderate-to-severe migraines over the past week (I used only to have them so frequently in my pre-teens. I am nineteen years of age currently, male, and a fairly active individual. My diet is fair. I hardly eat processed food, no fast food or sodas) and when I take a deep breath, my heart feels as if it s going to pound out of my chest. It s very unpleasant, and needless to say, I m worried. What are some potential causes for this most unfavourable symptom?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having severe migraine. My response to your query is as below. Migraine is usually common in this age group. You need to watch out for the trigerring factors of migraine and need to avoid them to prevent recurrent attacks of migraine. The common trigerring factors are certain foods, exposure to dim light.... The medical treatment is by use of potent analgesic drugs and anti-inflammatory drugs in the acute episode and use of prophylactic drugs like flunarizine to prevent recurrence of attacks. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this answers your question. Do write back to me for further questions.
