Hi,

I don't think it is a question of the body adjusting to the medication. It is a little unclear since when you are taking Topiramate. If for less than a few weeks you should give it more time, at least a month. If you have been taking it for longer than a month without effect, having migraine attacks, then switching to another medication must be considered. There are many medications for migraine prevention, not all are effective in all people, Topiramate may happen to not be effective for you, but another class of preventive medication may be.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
