Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck And Headache

My boyfriend has had neck pain for over a week now; it is getting worse. The pain is on the left side of his neck and ranges from his back to his head. He rates the pain (on a scale from 1-10) as a 7. He states the pain is affecting his sleep. He also states that headaches started this week.
