Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck Pain Post An Injury

Hi, I have a friend who was in sports his whole life.......at the age of 50...he started to hear voices. He suffers from extreme neck pain due to sports. Is it possible, that these/this voice is because of the neck injury (C1 C2)? He is on medication, but the Doctors don t really know what he has? Even on the meds...he still hears the voice talking to him? Thanks!

auditary and 3rd person hallucinations and that too persistant strongly suggest some mental disorder. though it can't be diagnosed schizophrenia just on this basis and haloperidol can't be started just on this basis so i suggest to take your friend to a psychaitrist for better assessment
