Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing severe neck pain, it started on my left side, then went away for awhile, then it started up again and now it has moved to the right side of my neck and seems to have affected the my right arm, my doctor has me on oxycodone and tizanidine. The oxycodone has no effect on the pain. I am going or an MRI on the 11th of June, I have already had a CAT Scan. I can hardly move my neck and sleeping is almost impossible.
It seems like a problem with the discs of the vertebrae of that area. The MRI is the first choice to get the exact diagnosis. The next step for you would be a consultation with the neurosurgeon after the pain gets better.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
