Suggest Treatment For Severe Nosebleed

I had my left nostril electrocauterized this past Wednesday. Yesterday a.m. I had a severe nosebleed. I called the ENT physician on call. He said to keep a cotton ball satuated with the saline solution in my nose which I ve done today. This evening I had another severe nosebleed. I ve been careful not to blow my nose etc. I go back to the ENT physician I saw this coming Wednesday.

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.

I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Nose bleed is always secondary to some cause. That should be find out and treated to prevent recurrences.

In severe nose bleeds we do nasal packing. If not stopping we go for other modalities like cautery, embolization or ligation.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help you.

Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.

Regards,
