Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Abdominal Cramps

I am on Myrbetriq and started pain this morning on the 8th day of taking this. The pain feels like cramps that I use to have before and during my menstral cycle. I began menopause when I was 38 and have not bled since then. I was put on by urologist with delayed urination each time I went. Is this going to last throughout the evening? Should I be taking something to take away this pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I recommend doing a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.

If the diagnosis is confirmed I suggest using prescribed antibiotics.

I also recommend using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen for the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
