Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Swelling Near The Clitoris

OOps! Just noticed this was for gastroenterology ! Sorry, it s been a long day... Any GYN consultants to forward this to? **My dear sister is a married, 52 year-old woman who has had chronic clitoritis since we were in our early 20 s. Over the past 30 years it has flared-up every couple of years. She s had surgical Incision & drainage procedures 2 times. On other occasions, she took sitz baths until it drained on its own. She is now so scarred-up that a GYN surgeon told her, There s nothing I can do for you. You have the most abnormal genitalia I ve ever seen . This happened recently, after a very severe and painful event of swelling during which time, we took her to the hospital ER and they could barely cut-thru the scarring to get it to drain. She had a red streak going up towards her navel as it was so infected. She had been given antibiotics prior to then and was told to come back in 3 weeks . Such severe pain... I have never seen her cry like that. So... it seems no one wants to touch it to do anything about it. That surgeon and her GYN doctor have literally said that to her. I m concerned about the next time it gets really bad. Needless to say - She is so embarrassed about it... No sex life etc. Any suggestions?
