Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Caused Due To Spinal Stenosis And Arthritis
Hi my name is Tina , I have been dealing with pain for over 20 yrs now. I have degenerate disc disease, spinal stenosis an full of arthritis. Also 2 spinal surgerys that have failed. And now my knees are up for knee replacement surgery. I am in so much pain, I have been taking methadone for 16 yrs now I am on 8, 10 mg tabs a day an the docs will not up the meds or put me on something else for my pain they just want to keep giving me shots that don t help. They are not helping me. So I ask, what can I do or where can I go for help?
Based on your condition and without many details on the treatment received it seems at no point of your management you have undertaken any kind of musculo-skeletal rehabilitation. An approach to any musculo-skeletal ailment involves a multi pronged approach of Physical therapy + lifestyle modifications(weight management if it is a contributory factor) + medications, if surgery is adviced then it is imperative to undergo pre-rehab and definitely post operative rehab for a successful outcome of surgery.Hence ,I would strongly recommend you to meet your GP/ primary care provider to review these issues rather than solely being dependent on medications to alleviate pain also medications always come with their share of side effects .
