If I go to the er will the doctors keep me in the hospital until Monday to keep me comfortable because I am in so much pain I think I am going to die.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe pain due to tooth abscess which seem sto be due to presence of infection leading to formation of pus is and it is leading to pressure build up in the area under the root tips of tooth and causing nerve compression and pain.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start taking heavy dose of antibiotic i.e amoxicillin 500 to suppress infection. You should visit dentist once and get IOPA of that particular tooth done. Go for root canal treatment of that tooth and follow all instructions. Maintain complete oral hygiene and do antiseptic rinses. if pain is severe you can take higher painkillers like Tramadol.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
