Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
At some point someone is going to have to treat the gallstones or he is (1) going to have more serious problems and (2) cost the medical institutions even more money. Luckily it is July. Any hospital with a medical school is looking to train their new surgeons in July and would welcome someone with gallstones to practice on.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
