Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In My Right Foot

I have severe pain in my right foot. Started about a month ago. Doesn t hurt all the time, but pain is becoming more frequent. It feels like it s at the bottom of my heel, and shoots upward. Only hurts when I put weight on my foot. Feels like my foot is going out on me. Ankle has arthritis and I can t bend it as much as left foot. I don t know if this might be bone, muscle or tendon problem.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the pain is from arthritis. Should get some further examinations to evaluate the stage of arthritis, and to plan the management.

So, to me should get further consultation with rheumatologist. Meanwhile, I recommend to:

- do physiotherapy (massage therapy of the heel)
- take magnesium supplement
- take analgesic orally and apply local analgesic to reduce the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
