My R knee was replaced last September. This pain seems to be coming from right under the knee. My replacement was checked by Dr. And is fine. The pain has reached the high point in severity...7 now. it hurts when I walk sit, get up, sleep most every action is painful, steps mostly. What could it possibly be?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Pain in knee joint after replacement surgery is a common factor and can remain for 6 months. But pain even after 6 months indicates some chronic cause like nerve impingement. Pain in the knee upon movement after knee replacement without any fever can be pressure symptom and an MRI would point out exact cause. You should discuss this with your doctor, get investigated and treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
