Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Back Of The Neck
I have a painful area on the back of the left side of my neck that s been noticeable for about two weeks & gotten worse, more painful & more restrictive of neck movement gradually. It feels, at times, about the size of a large olive. I thought at first it was from a bad sleeping position. I ve had a massage therapist work on it today, which helped at the time but now the benefit has subsided. I ve used ice & heat tonight to some relief, but am perplexed as to what this might be...
It could be due to conditions like cervical spondylitis. As first-line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
