Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Back

I have a histamine response to all Opioid medications. I also have arthritis along my spine and prolonged sitting or standing causes a lot of pain. What to do? I use Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen because I cannot stand the itching. Is there some med that mitigates the histamine release? Antihistamines don t work.

Hello,

If you can't take opioids and over the counter medication like acetaminophen and ibuprofen doesn't work, then the next logical step would be medication for chronic and neuropathic pain.

There are two main classes which can be used alone or together, anticonvulsants like Gabapentin, Pregabalin and antidepressants like Duloxetine, Amitriptyline. Of course, there are also other measures like physical therapy, chiropractics or spinal traction.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
