Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Calf Muscle

Hi im a 66 year old male in excellent health. But last night i experienced pain in my left calf muscel non injury the pain goes away after sitting for a few minutes but returns after walking 50 yards or so. Blood clot? Never happened before, water intake is good

rule out Diabetes, calcium deficiency and salt deficiency.
if calf pain is persisting without cramps then it may be due to calf strain,is a tear of muscle fibres of the muscles at the back of the lower leg and can range from mild to moderate.
calf strain or injury usually occur of sudden pushong off movement or from excessive over-stretching of the calf muscles as demonstrayed in jumping activities. other causes of pain are-
DVT or Thrombosis is a blood clot in a vein.
posterior deep compartment syndrome
Cramp is a involuntary contraction of the muscle which cannot only be very lainful but mau also cause muscke damage in severe cases
Treatment are rest, ice and compression and stretching and strengthening exercises.
