Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Chest Area

My daughter 3/4 times weekly gets a sudden severe pain on her right side just beneath her breast and as she is down syndrome just cries silently for about 10 minutes and all I can do is give paracetamol to help. She has had scan to check for liver, gal bladder kidney stones etc but nothing showed up that could cause this. I hope you can throw some light on this problem which has been with her for approx 2 years now. Thank you.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Down's syndrome, also known as Down syndrome, is a genetic condition that typically causes some level of learning disability and characteristic physical features.

Many babies born with Down's syndrome are diagnosed with the condition after birth and are likely to have:
reduced muscle tone leading to floppiness (hypotonia)
eyes that slant upwards and outwards
a small mouth with a protruding tongue
a flat back of the head
below-average weight and length at birth

If your baby is diagnosed with Down's syndrome, their heart will be carefully assessed to detect any problems as soon as possible. The most common defect to affect children with Down's syndrome is a septal defect. This is a hole inside one of the walls that separate the four chambers of the heart, often referred to as a "hole in the heart".

I suggest to consult the pediatrician for investigation.
