Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Ears

Hi, Today around 4:30 I jumped off a 20-30 ft high rock into water. When I hit the water my ear popped and it hurt really bad and had sharp pains. Now whenever I burp I have sharp pains in my ears and it feels like there is something inside, but I don t think there is. Any idea what might have happened?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is possibility that you might have injured your middle ear or tympanic membrane (ear drum). I will advise you to undergo a otoscopic examination in person by a doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
