Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Foot After Using Corn Cap
I had a pinch pain on a point below me feet and i thought it to be a corn (developing), mostly because of the leather shoes i wear to work and the considerable amount of walk in it. I applied corn cap on it for 11 days (the back of the pack said change every 2 days and max of 5 corn caps). It did peeled my skin once after 3 corn caps and i could see the improvement as i could see the root of the corn. So i continued the corn cap hoping that it would remove the leftover as well. But even after 3 more caps (total 6) it was not able to remove it. And then i stopped applying thinking it would be harmful as the skin became tender as well. I still have good amount of pain and could see a small round dot in the center of the corn. What should i do? should i apply more corn caps?

Hi,
Noted your history of applying corn-caps for supposedly corn at sole due to using leather shoes, the top part of corn has fallen off after using 3 corn caps but now there is pain and you can see the white point. Applying more corn caps can cause more problems as the chemicals in corn cap acts on normal skin of sole. Hence stop at the moment.
Get examined by your Doctor or preferably a General Surgeon to know the exact cause of pain. If there is any infection he shall give you a course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medications. If required a small proper surgery will remove the remaining corn properly. Change over to soft inner sole of shoes to avoid pain and recurrence.
