Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Leg While Having Herniated Disc

Hi.. I have had an ongoing pain in the back of both legs it starts below my butt and goes to the top of my calves. I can barely walk or stand for any period of time. I have had a ultrasound to rule out blood clots, a d dimer test which was negative and a MRI which showed herniated disc but nothing else. I just woke up one day with this and can barely walk now. Please help? All I keep getting is the run around from these doctors. Noone will tell me what it could be. MY back does not hurt. Also they just want to give u pills.

Hello

As you explain the situation the herniation is the main cause .It is getting worse now.Probably you should add steroids which help lowering the nerve swelling now but you should discuss with you doctor for this.

Regards

Dr.Jolanda
