Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen

Sir my son aged 18 yrs he is suffering from stomach pain right side upper to lower abdominal.with sever pain. Sir we observed this pain Every year it comes in the months of August to October.we don t know how it occur.we consulting doctors in my town . Some relief is there. What is the cause please give me suggestions and where to consult.we are living in Guntakal , Anantapur district Andhra Pradesh.

Pain on the right side of the abdomen could be caused by many medical conditions.These causes could be linked to problems with the liver, kidneys, stomach or intestines.Some of them include: Cholecystitis/liver pathologies, diverticulitis, pancreatic pathologies, recurrent kidney infection/stones, peptic ulcer disease, lung pathologies like pneumonia....Only medical examination by a Doctor with some paraclinical investigations will help to know the exact cause.I will suggest you an Internist for evaluation given the duration of symptoms.You will need tests like stool exam, urinalysis, an abdominal ultrasound or CT scan for initial evaluation.Other tests may be requested depending on the diagnostic orientation of the Doctor.Your treatment will how ever depend on the found cause.Symptomatic management all the time for such a chronic problem is not the best.
