Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Thumb Post An Accident

Was riding a mechanical bull last night my thumb got stuck when I fell off.. Immediate pain after.. Thought it would go away but now it s swelling and brusing I can t move it.. The brusing is right at the joint between my thumb and hand.. If I bend it it sends pain all the way up to my elbow and it s sore to touch... Do I need to have it X rayed or is it just jammed?

Hello. You need the x-ray since it sounds as though you may have an avulsion frature of the first metacarpal and the proximal phalanx of your thumb and you may need surgery to repair it
