Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Toe

I have had very sharp pain in my big toe for about 2 months but it wasn t constant. I assumed it was neuropathy which I m beginning to get. For the last 2 days it has become much worse and more frequent and only stops with rest. It doesn t keep me awake at night, but just bothers me when I m on my feet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may be suffering from gout. I would recommend you to take colchicine and allopurinol or probenecid. You can also take NSAIDs such Celexocib, naproxen or Ibuprofen for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
