Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Radiating From Lower Back To The Legs

I have a history of UTI but have not had any problems for about 5 years now. I am now 51 and have had two UTI this year. I am currently being treated for a UTI with antibiotics but have developed severe pain in my lower back/buttocks which radiates down the back of the leg. The treatment started on Sunday. Yesterday evening (Monday) I felt quite nauseous with the pain in my legs. The pain reminds me of pain I sometimes experienced during a bad period, but my menses stopped over two years ago. My urinary symptoms i.e. frequency and burning sensation have diminished.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having Sciatica pain due to some degenerative changes in lower vertebral spines giving rise piched nerve pressure.
Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region for ostero-artheritis of spines.
Physiotherapy, short way diathermy and lumbar traction will be helpful.
Take Calcium, vitamin D and B1, B12 supplements.
Go for light walking exercises daily.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
